posting crochet projects again.
back in 2008, I made a backpack for my niece, Chiharu. it was really bright, and very cool. then last year Alexis, a friend at work, asked me if I would make one for her granddaughter for Christmas. Alexis has been crocheting for a very long time, but this type of project isn't her cup of tea. she doesn't change color, and she doesn't like to sew parts together. and I had such fun making the first one, I was more than happy to make another one.
Alexis picked the colors and gave me the yarn. I think they look great together.

outside of backpack right after I stitched all the hexagons and pentagons together

inside lining, with pockets. I made the pockets in a contrasting color this time, and I think they show up much better than last time.
