Mar. 13th, 2010 05:45 pmso over at espn.com today's poll question asks, "How many brackets will you be filling out?". this refers to the upcoming NCAA Men's Basketball Championship, and the March Madness and bracket mania that accompanies it.
I always fill out 2 brackets (I may enter those 2 brackets into many different contests, but there's always 2 different brackets). one is my 'heart' bracket, which means UofL goes all the way to the final game and wins the championship -- and if possible they play UK along the way. the other is my 'head' bracket, which means I put down my realistic picks of who I really think will win each game based on the umpteen billion games I've watched all year.
so I answered the poll with "2".
whenever you answer a poll on espn.com, a window will pop up with a map, telling you how people voted and where. the map is color-coded based on the current majority pick for that state (and the world). and if you hover your mouse over a state, it will tell you the current percentage breakdown of the answers for that state.
I answered "2", and the new window opened to show this map.

really? wth?! Kentucky and Delaware are the ONLY places in the WORLD where the majority are filling out more than one bracket? I knew we were a conflicted state with UofL and UK, but wow! I would have thought some other states like North Carolina, Indiana, Ohio, and Illinois would have the majority filling out multiple brackets. but I guess not.
btw, the current percentage breakdown for KY is:
One -- 26%
Two -- 29%
Three -- 17%
Four -- 8%
Five Or More -- 21%
